The Markovich family believes that being part of the communities in which they operate is a intrical part of Summit’s success. “You can’t just take from the community as a business owner, you have the responsibility to give back” states Dale Markovich Owner & CEO of Summit Beverage. Summit has made a financial impact on over 150 organizations in Western Montana, which makes Summit and its employees feel vested in the community. We have made pledges to the following categories:

• 14 Health & Hunger Organizations

• 19 Art & Education foundations

• 23 Athletics foundations

We will continue to expand our reach to other organizations in the future. We applaud and encourage other businesses to get involved and make a difference!

• The Markovich Family Foundation has given $73,000 in grants in 2023 and over $200,000 in donations and sponsorships from Summit Beverage.

• The Markovich Family Foundation focuses on giving to 4 specific areas, Art & Athletics, Community Service, Education, and Health & Hunger, all of which positively impact the areas in which Summit operates.

• Some highlights of this year included 5-year grant commitments to the YMCA’s new building in Missoula, Missoula Downtown Associations revamp of Caras Park, the new  Rec building on the University of Montana Western campus in Dillon, Whitefish Community Foundation, and continued support to the Flathead Valley Community College.

• All foodbanks in our territories continue to receive yearly grants to help fulfill the ever-growing need of food insecurities.

• With our education focus this year we gave grants to not only universities, but also local school districts.

• We continued grants for arts and athletics covering everything from Little League Baseball to the Garden City Ballet.
